Oktoberfest is a German tradition that originally began in 1810 in Munich, Germany. This 16 day extravaganza is one of Germany’s largest and most beloved events–bringing people together from around the world to raise a glass and “prost,” or cheers, to what originally began as a festival in honor of the marriage between Prince Ludwig and Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen.
Today, it’s an easy excuse to gather around with good friends, good music, good food, and most importantly– good beer!
Sounds fantastic , doesn’t it?
Thankfully you don’t have to go all the way to Miami to experience Oktoberfest.
This 10 day Oktoberfest Coral Cables style may not be the real deal– but we can guarantee that you won’t find anything much closer than this. With approximately 12,000 estimated attendees last year, the Coral Gables Oktoberfest is 10 days worth of traditional German food, beer, music , and fun.
